NBA Trades: 3 Harrison Barnes trades to help reset the Kings – Chicago Bulls

Bulls receive: Harrison Barnes, Damian Jones

Kings receive: Coby White, Derrick Jones Jr., Troy Brown Jr., 2022 First-Round Pick (via POR), 2026 First-Round Pick

The Chicago Bulls are dealing with a ton of injuries right now, but if all goes well, they should be healthy by the time the playoffs roll around. And in the end, that’s what they need to be focused on.

For the first time in a long time, the Bulls are relevant. Not only are they relevant, but they’re a title contender. Since they have a serious chance at competing, they might as well go for it all.

Adding Harrison Barnes would be the perfect addition for the Bulls. With Patrick Williams out for the year, they’ve been lacking at the power forward position, so putting Barnes there would be huge.

He can shoot, he can defend, and he can score. There isn’t a better player around the league to fill that spot for Chicago. If they added him they would immediately be thrust toward the top of title contention.

On the flip side, the Sacramento Kings would get a bit younger in this deal, helping restart their rebuild a bit. This is a pretty solid trade package for Barnes.

The fit of Coby White on the roster is a bit odd, especially with the number of guards they have, but talent is talent. White has played well for the Bulls since returning from injury.

Derrick Jones Jr. is a quality defender and could take over some of those Barnes minutes. The same goes for Troy Brown Jr., but on a lower scale.

Throw in a couple of first-round picks, and this is a great trade for both sides. The Bulls get an extra piece to help them contend, while the Kings move a veteran for youth.
