NBA Trades: 3 Harrison Barnes trades to help reset the Kings – Atlanta Hawks

Hawks receive: Harrison Barnes, Buddy Hield

Kings receive: John Collins, Danilo Gallinari

Now this trade would be a blockbuster. The Atlanta Hawks would get rid of a disgruntled star while the Sacramento Kings would get another young star to put next to their core.

For the Hawks, this would be their attempt to save a somewhat lost season. John Collins isn’t happy with his role on the team, so they’d deal him for two players that can help them win right now.

Harrison Barnes would immediately take over as the starting power forward, providing great spacing and defense. His versatility would be huge in a lineup with Trae Young.

As for Buddy Hield, he would give the Hawks an amazing boost from behind the arc. Having that shooting next to Young would give them a huge offensive boost.

For the Kings, this trade is ideal. Getting another young star to put next to De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton would be the best outcome from trading their veterans.

Collins is an explosive forward who can also shoot the three-ball. In Sacramento, he’d have more opportunities to grow as a player and get the touches he wants.

Danilo Gallinari would only be included for the purpose of matching salaries. Plus, he hasn’t played up to standards in Atlanta this year, so they would get off his contract.

Overall, this is a great deal for both sides. The Hawks put two starting-caliber players around Young to compete right now while the Kings get another young star for the future.
