NBA Trades: Tyrese Haliburton trades to help the Kings win now – Brandon Ingram

Kings receive: Brandon Ingram

Pelicans receive: Tyrese Haliburton, Marvin Bagley III, Tristan Thompson, 2023 First-Round Pick, 2025 First-Round Pick

Somehow, the New Orleans Pelicans have been more disappointing than the Kings this season. This trade would help them shake things up, while also bringing another All-Star-caliber talent to Sacramento.

Zion Williamson has yet to play a game this season, but the Pelicans should still be better than they are right now. They’re currently 14-16, sitting at 14th in the West.

Brandon Ingram, however, is playing at an All-Star level. He’s averaging 22.5 points, 6.2 points, and 4.9 assists while shooting 44.3 percent from the field and 32.9 percent from deep.

If this trade occurred, Sacramento’s starting lineup would look like De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Ingram, Harrison Barnes, and Richaun Holmes. That should easily be good enough to make the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans would be resetting a little bit with this deal. They’d pair Williamson with Tyrese Haliburton, creating a great big man-guard duo.

Haliburton has been playing out of his mind lately. Putting him alongside an elite big man like Williamson could seriously unleash his full potential.

The Pelicans would also be able to take a chance on Marvin Bagley III, and Tristan Thompson would be included to match salaries. Add in two first-round picks, and this deal makes sense for both sides.
