NBA Trades: 3 Tyrese Haliburton trades to help the Kings win now
By Jack Simone
Firing Luke Walton was supposed to help the Sacramento Kings get back on track. While it definitely put the team in the right, they still aren’t getting the results they would like to be getting.
The Kings are currently 16-26 and sitting at 12th in the Western Conference. If Sacramento misses the playoffs this season, then it will be their 16th straight year doing so – by far the longest streak in the NBA.
They’ve been so disappointing, recent rumors have surfaced that they could be open to making some big-time trades. Both De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton are not off the table.
While we’ve discussed potential Fox NBA trades here before, we’ve yet to explore deals for Haliburton. What are some NBA trades that would simultaneously help the Kings improve and ship Haliburton to a new team?
NBA Trades: Tyrese Haliburton trades to help the Kings win now – Ben Simmons
Kings receive: Ben Simmons
76ers receive: Tyrese Haliburton, Harrison Barnes, Marvin Bagley III
This is the most obvious trade of the bunch. The rumors regarding Fox and Haliburton stemmed from the topic of trading for Ben Simmons, and how the Kings could be willing to offer more in a package.
Sacramento is one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA. Adding a player of Simmons’ caliber would certainly help them fix that issue.
The pairing of Simmons and Fox combined with Buddy Hield’s shooting would create a lethal combination. This would absolutely elevate the Kings.
Plus, the Sixers would get their new point guard and a starting-caliber forward in Barnes. This trade is a win-win for both teams involved.
