San Antonio Spurs: 3 goals for the final stretch of the season
San Antonio Spurs goal No. 1: Manufacture better looks
The Spurs rely heavily on DeRozan for their production. He has 7.1 assists per game to go along with his 21.4 points per game. The problem is the Spurs are only averaging 24.4 assists per game which is only good for 16th in the league.

The Spurs also take the most 2-point field goal attempts in the NBA with 61.7 per game, hitting the fourth-best number at 31.6 per game. This gives them the 25th best two-point field goal percentage in the league at only 51.2 percent.
This is further compounded by the fact the Spurs take the least amount of 3-point attempts in the NBA with 28.6 per game. They make the second-least in the NBA with 10.1 per game. This means that they are only 22nd in the NBA with 35.2 percent from deep.
There is a lot of individual shot creation for the Spurs, they are not tending to look for each other as some of the top teams do. This has led to the Spurs having the 21st worst offense, scoring only 110.7 points per game. If they were able to manufacture better looks for each other then the offense would certainly be harder to stop.
