Does this trade work for the Brooklyn Nets?

The Nets have the most invested in this trade by far, with three players going out and three coming back, as well as a first-round draft pick coming back from the New Orleans Pelicans. They resolve Joe Harris’s free agency situation by sign-and-trading him to the Indiana Pacers on a three-year, $42 million contract, and along with Harris goes Spencer Dinwiddie, and Caris LeVert goes to the Pelicans.

They replace these departures with the 13th overall pick via the Pelicans, Doug McDermott, Jrue Holiday and J.J. Redick. McDermott and Redick provide some lethal 3-point shooting to replace the elite Harris, and Holiday might prove to be one of the best backcourt partners Kyrie Irving could possibly have. Holiday can play on the ball or off it, and while he’s not a great shooter, he is one of the best defensive guards in the NBA.

That 13th overall pick can be used to flip for more assets, or the Nets can simply make that selection themselves as they look to keep their future just as bright as their present should be if Irving and Durant are able to return at full strength next season.
