Most Improved Player: Bam Adebayo

Most of our awards were landslides with healthy majorities selecting the winners. In the case of Most Improved Player, however, the margin was slim between Bam Adebayo and Brandon Ingram. In the end, Bam had just enough voting support. He averaged 15.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game as well as 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals.

Ingram’s season was incredible as well. His scoring leapt from 18.3 points per game a year ago to 23.8 points per game this season.

Adebayo received 15 votes while Ingram received 12. Rounding out the ballot, Luka Doncic received five votes, Devonte’ Graham received three and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander received one vote.

Coach of the Year: Nick Nurse

There’s no way Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse isn’t coming away with this award. After losing Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green from an NBA championship squad, the Raptors put forth an even better record than last year over the same number of games at 53-19. Nurse’s defensive wizardry is a huge reason for their incredible performance.

He received 75 percent of the vote with a total of 27 votes, followed by Erik Spoelstra with just five votes. Brad Stevens received two votes while both Mike Budenholzer and Rick Carlisle received a vote apiece.
