What might a trade look like?

Let’s analyze the way that these two teams could work out a trade that would benefit each other in the best way. On that note, the Lakers would, of course, get their hands on Oladipo, while also trading away some quite valuable assets to Indy.

When it comes to the Lakers, the shallowness of the 2020 free agency pool pretty much leaves them with their hands tied. Apart from re-signing Anthony Davis, not much can be made to strengthen the ream via FA.

Trading for a third star appears to be a one-way street for them, and, as mentioned before, Oladipo should be considered as the way to go.

Unfortunately, they would have to give up on Kyle Kuzma pretty early, despite him having shown signs of a future All-Star. They run the risk of repeating the Brandon Ingram scenario.

Nevertheless, the chances of Kuzma turning into a star under these current circumstances are slim to none. They might be doing both themselves and Kuz a favor of parting ways while he still has his entire career ahead of him.

Moving on to Indianapolis, Kyle Kuzma can pick up where he left off last season. There have been rumors that Myles Turner might soon be moved away from the team, meaning that Sabonis would slide right into the center spot—which by the way suits him way better— leaving Kuzma as the team’s starting power forward.

The Pacers have been one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the NBA this season volume-wise, making just 10 shots per game behind the arc, placing them as 29th in the list. As a matter of fact, their percentages are not terrible at all, they just seem to lack confidence.

A sniper like Danny Green would not only be financial aid for the trade but would also help with Indy’s shooting struggles. Their defensive culture is something that suits Green’s playstyle perfectly  and Nate McMillan could get his hands on a gem.

Is this trade fair? Given Oladipo’s injury situation, it might be more than it seems. LeBron “LeGM” James will most likely be looking to apply his magic management touches this offseason and recruit another star to LA. Will Victor be wearing a different shade of yellow in 2020-21?
