Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets played over their heads for a while to start the season but reality has really set in. They’re 1-9 in their last 10 and they sit at 12th in the Eastern Conference. It’s selling time, and they may decide their best bet is to try to get something for Marvin Williams‘ expiring $15 million salary.

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls may not see themselves as sellers as they’re in the Eastern Conference’s ninth seed, but they’re four games back and have a 19-33 record. It’s time to let go of the rope. The Bulls don’t have a lot of trades that need to be made, but Denzel Valentine could fetch a return either by himself or as part of a package at the trade deadline.

Cleveland Cavaliers

This one is easy. Tristan Thompson considers a trade to be “a priority” so he likely won’t be back next season as his contract expires. That leaves the Cleveland Cavaliers in a spot where they’ll want to try to get some return for him. The return here is tough because of his $18.5 million salary, but the Cavs are sure to work overtime in the hopes of moving him.
