Dallas Mavericks

There aren’t many clear moves for the Dallas Mavericks, nor are there players who are being touted in the media as likely to be shipped out at the trade deadline. The Mavs may try to trade Courtney Lee and his expiring $12.76 million salary. Lee has only played 10 games this season, seeing the floor for just 80 total minutes. If there’s a move, that might be the one.

Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets are a talented team with the depth that gives them the flexibility to make a move. Malik Beasley is the most likely Nugget to be moved at the trade deadline. He turned down a three-year, $30 million contract extension this past offseason and has followed that up with a disappointing season. He’ll be a free agent next season and a fresh start somewhere else might be just the thing for both Beasley and the Nuggets.

Detroit Pistons

It seemed like the Detroit Pistons would be most likely to move Andre Drummond or Derrick Rose or even Markieff Morris, but late Monday night ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Pistons and Phoenix Suns were in discussions on a deal to send Luke Kennard to Phoenix. We’ve heard little since then, but it does appear that Kennard’s name is coming up more loudly and often in trade talks.
