3. Value each possession

The 76ers are currently one of worst turnover teams in the NBA, averaging 16.5 per game this season.

Head coach Brett Brown definitely deserves his props, leading the franchise to 52 wins last year, and managing the genuine level of camaraderie that is apparent in the locker room. But the inability to hold players accountable for careless mistakes is often his undoing.

The Sixers, as they showed in Indiana, can surely light up a box score whenever things are clicking offensively. The difference in each game, has recently been decided by how they take care of the basketball. Given, 17 turnovers against the Pacers is far from ideal, but it’s a step up from the 28 they submitted to Brooklyn this past Sunday.

Brown’s intentions of “loose” play for his offense has quickly become a double-edged sword for this team. As a young group, however, it won’t benefit them to play too skittish. They must find a happy medium in order to establish some form of consistency.
