Philadelphia 76ers: What’s next following first road win?

2. Ride the Landry Shamet wave
One of the biggest surprises for the 76ers this season has been rookie Landry Shamet.
The 21-year-old guard has had no trouble at all making his transition from the NCAA to the NBA, and has already surpassed most of the expectations set out for him this year.
Thanks in part to time spent working with his mentor J.J. Redick in the preseason, Shamet has quietly been one of the biggest bench contributors for the Sixers through the first 12 games, averaging 7.8 points in 20.0 minutes per game and shooting 39.6 percent from deep.
He also scored in double figures for the fourth consecutive game on Wednesday night, and seems to only look better every time on the floor, which means that he may need to see a bump in playing time moving forward.
The team has needed a player like Shamet for a very long time — an aggressive scorer who isn’t afraid to produce when called upon. He has already proved to be a consistent shooting weapon, and can play in three out of the five spots in the lineup effectively, so why stop there? The sky is the limit for how great he can be this season, and if that means swapping minutes around to get him there, then so be it.
