The Philadelphia 76ers notched their first road victory of the season against the Indiana Pacers, 100-94, but here’s how they can continue to build off that success.
The Philadelphia 76ers walked into Bankers Life Fieldhouse Wednesday night with a bumpy 6-5 record, and a tall order against a formidable Indiana Pacers team.
The Sixers, coming off their worst performance of the year against the Brooklyn Nets a few days prior, quickly reminded the NBA who they are, and who they can be on a good night.
Aside from Pacers guard Victor Oladipo having his way offensively yet again, cruising to a season-high 36 points, seven assists and six rebounds, the Sixers were resilient until the final buzzer.
Joel Embiid looked like a potential MVP candidate once again, despite falling victim to a ferocious Domantas Sabonis dunk late in the third quarter that rocked the social media world.

Embiid ended up with 20 points and 10 boards, while Ben Simmons finished two assists shy of what would’ve been his third triple-double of the year.
The cornerstone duo led the way once again for a team that is still sorting things out early into the season, but the Sixers are finally seeing some progress from some of their key role players.
Here’s how they can maintain that same success going forward.
