Strengths

Irving has many strengths and all of those come from his offensive game. His defense is a different story, but we know how good he is offensively. He can easily compete with the best in the game.

His ability to score from anywhere on the court and his ball-handling skills are some of the most impressive things he brings to the table. He still needs to work on getting others involved, but this season he showed that he’s on his way to fixing that.

Irving finished the season with 5.1 assists per game and was continuously looking to get others involved. He’s no Stephen Curry, but his ability to shoot from anywhere is something he takes pride in.

He could even be the best finisher at the rim in the league right now. He finished the season shooting 49.1 percent from the field — the best percentage of his career. He also shot 40.8 percent from 3-point range on a whopping 6.8 attempts per game.

Irving finished the year averaging 24.4 points per game – the Celtics’ team high by far. He ranked 11th in the NBA in scoring and it’s clear that he’s one of the NBA’s elite players on offense.
