5. Kevin Knox, SF/PF — Kentucky

The 6’9″ Kentucky Wildcats forward Kevin Knox has NBA potential written all over him. The Hornets have an opportunity to create a Kentucky pipeline by drafting another Wildcat in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Knox is a combo-forward that brings size and length to a Charlotte team in need of both. He’s a streaky 3-point shooter but at 19 years of age, there’s room for improvement. He has a 7’0″ wingspan with Tobias Harris-like skill.

In his best game of 2017-18, he put up 34 points and seven rebounds on 11-of-17 shooting from the floor and 5-for-8 from 3-point range against the West Virginia Mountaineers back on Jan. 27.

In his worst game, he was 1-for-9 from the field and 1-for-5 from 3-point land with four points, five rebounds, four assists and seven turnovers against the Monmouth Hawks back on Dec. 9. In showing flashes of his potential and of weakness, Knox serves as a versatile prospect to keep an eye on in the 2018 NBA Draft.
