14. Spencer Dinwiddie

There are a myriad of reasons the Brooklyn Nets are only 2.5 games out of a playoff spot in the East right now, but Spencer Dinwiddie has to be somewhere near the top of the list — especially for a team that lost Jeremy Lin on opening night and has missed D’Angelo Russell for the last 12 games.

His 12.3 points, 6.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game may not scream “superstar,” but they’re career highs across the board. Dinwiddie is also making the most of his opportunity for an injury-ravaged backcourt, averaging 14.7 points, 7.3 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in 14 starts.

He’s only shooting 39.7 percent from the field on the season, but his 38.4 percent conversion rate  from downtown helps spread the floor for a team attempting the second-most 3-pointers on a nightly basis. Dinwiddie will never be a star, but his superb two-way play is keeping Brooklyn afloat.
