3. Wizards @ Boston Celtics — Dec. 25

The Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics meet for the first time in the 2017-18 season on Christmas Day. After a hard-fought seven-game series, the Celtics came out as victors in the Eastern Conference semifinals of last year’s NBA Playoffs.

Some faces from last year’s rivalry are missing for the Celtics, such as Kelly Olynyk and Avery Bradley, but all eyes will be on Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to fill the void in what should be a hard-fought Christmas game.

The Wizards haven’t exactly been a dominant Eastern Conference team while the Celtics, on the other hand, have run through the competition. Boston currently has a 20-4 record as of Dec. 4, boasting the best record in the NBA this season.

They’ve got a new leader in Kyrie Irving but the rivalry remains largely the same. In a matchup that pits two of the best point guards in the East against each other, bragging rights and more will be on the line this year.
