10. Lonzo Ball, Los Angeles Lakers

Last week: N/A

A week after falling out of the Rookie of the Year ladder, Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball finds himself back at the 10th spot this week. It helps he recorded the second triple-double of his career this past week.

After a 122-113 loss to the Phoenix Suns last Friday night, Ball turned his game up a few notches. He recorded 11 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists in the very next game against the Denver Nuggets last Sunday night. The Lakers won that game 127-109.

Ball has put a more concerted effort into his rebounding these past few games. He’s averaging 12.0 rebounds in Los Angeles’ past three contests. It hasn’t quite helped improve his shooting efficiency, though.

The rookie point guard is still shooting 31.5 percent from the field and 25 percent from 3-point range, although he did shoot 3-of-5 from 3-point range in the team’s loss to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. Still, it’s hard to hold his shooting against him so early in his career, especially when he’s still averaging 7.4 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game.
