This year’s rookie class has almost played 20 games so far in the 2017-18 season. Here’s a look at this week’s Rookie of the Year ladder.

Another week is in the books in the 2017-18 NBA season. I’d like to take this time to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope everybody had a good holiday!

Now, onto basketball business. This year’s rookie class has continued to put on quite the impression. The Boston Celtics‘ winning streak was snapped at 16 games, but rookie forward Jayson Tatum did his fair share to prevent the streak from being broken.

A few rookies are on teams under .500, but there’s no need for them to panic just yet as there’s time for them to develop and for their front offices to add pieces around them.

Golden State Warriors fans got a small glimpse at their future with rookie big man Jordan Bell, who made his first career start on Friday night. Bell finished the game with seven points, six blocks, six rebounds, four assists and two steals as Golden State defeated the Chicago Bulls, 143-94. It was a fitting performance considering the Bulls traded for him on draft night this past summer.

There’s one rookie who moved back into the the Rookie of the Year top 10 and that’s where the Week 6 edition begins, but first, take a look at a few honorable mentions this week.

Honorable Mentions:  Jordan Bell, Frank Ntilikina, Frank Mason, Jarrett Allen, Luke Kennard
