NBA rumors: Most likely landing spots for LeBron James in 2018
5. Whichever team signs Dwyane Wade
We all know about the bromance between James and Dwyane Wade. The two were nearly inseparable during their days with the Miami Heat. That was, until James made the Decision 2.0 and returned to the Cavaliers.
Then there was talk of Wade following him to Cleveland when he entered free agency last offseason. He ended up signing with the Chicago Bulls instead, but I’m sure the consideration was there. As luck would have it, the two could have a real opportunity to join forces yet again during 2018 free agency.

The current expectation is the Bulls will buy out the remainder of Wade’s contract in the near future (via ESPN‘s Nick Friedell). When that happens, the 35-year-old guard will have the opportunity to take his talents wherever he wants, or at least to a team that’s willing to give him the chance to prove he’s still got it.
When/if that time comes, there will certainly be speculation about how James would also fit into the equation. Wade could even be used as a pawn to recruit his former Heat teammate if a team gets desperate enough.
There’s a decent chance this “team” could be the same as one further down this list. For now, though, we’ll just say that a team that has Wade on it stands at least a small chance of convincing LeBron to reunite with his Banana Boat buddy.
