Point Guard: Kyle Lowry
Damon Stoudamire and Jose Calderon were great players, but Kyle Lowry is the best point guard to ever play for the Raptors.
The stocky, feisty Villanova product became an All-Star talent in Toronto. In 2012, the Raptors sent Gary Forbes and a 2013 first round pick to Houston in exchange for Lowry in what became one of the best moves in franchise history.

A late bloomer, Lowry didn’t average double-figures in scoring until his sixth season in the league. He had his breakout year during the 2013-14 season, when he averaged 17.9 points, 7.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game.
The 6’0″ point guard continued his rise in the 2015-16 season, when he averaged 21.2 points and helped Toronto win a franchise-record 56 games. Lowry appeared in his second consecutive All-Star game and earned his first All-NBA selection.
Last season, Lowry improved his game again, averaging career-highs in points (22.4), rebounds (4.8) and made threes per game (3.2). Lowry made the All-Star team for a third straight year and played the hometown host in Toronto.
Kyle Lowry has averaged 18.2 points, 6.8 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals a game his five seasons in Toronto. The Raptors just signed Lowry to a $100 million deal, locking up the franchise’s best point guard for another three years.
