4. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers would be delighted to re-sign Korver this offseason. Even though he missed a key shot near the end of Game 3 in the 2017 NBA Finals, Korver clearly has the respect of LeBron James. In Cleveland, that’s essentially the only voucher you need. The Cavaliers’ loss in the Finals showed that there was a major gap between production with James on the court vs. when he was off the court.

While he will not be able to offer much more than what he displayed in the Finals, Korver is a player who gives consistent effort on both ends of the floor. His game is built for players such as LeBron James and Kyrie Irving to have an open option after drawing the defense in. If Korver is able to find an open spot on the floor, one of those two players will almost assuredly find him.

Korver does not, however, boost the Cavs defensive efforts. He does not post large rebounding numbers, but is capable of boxing out and allowing others the opportunity to do so. The Cavaliers need to solidify their bench while figuring out the best way to reconfigure their starting lineup. Re-signing Kyle Korver would be a major step in that direction.
