4. Derrick Rose, PG, New York Knicks

While the Lakers are still in the middle of the rebuilding process and just drafted Lonzo Ball, signing Derrick Rose would be an intriguing fit. Rose would likely come off the bench or play the shooting guard position, but having a playmaker like Ball would open up the offense for Rose.

Last season with the New York Knicks, Rose ended up averaging 18.0 points, 4.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. He shot 47.1 percent from the floor overall, but struggled from the three-point line at just 21.7 percent.

Rose is not likely to be considered by the Lakers in free agency, but is intriguing to think about as an option.

Los Angeles could likely sign Rose at a bit of a discount, as his value is down a bit from his time with the Bulls. Injuries have ruined his market value to some degree, although he is still projected to receive somewhere between $10-20 million annually in his next deal.
