Mike Bibby. 14. player. 211. How acquired: 2nd overall pick from Arizona, 1998 NBA Draft.. PG. 1998-2001

Mike Bibby helped lead Arizona to a national championship as a freshman, was an All-American as a sophomore and declared for the pro ranks.

The Vancouver Grizzlies, selecting second, took Bibby–who averaged 17.2 points and 5.7 assists as a sophomore–in the 1998 NBA Draft, hoping they had their point guard for the 21st century.

He was an All-Rookie first team selection in the lockout-shortened 1998-99 season and in 2000-01 was fourth in the NBA in assists.

But in June 2001, the Grizzlies traded Bibby and Brent Price to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Jason Williams and Nick Anderson.

In three seasons in Vancouver, Bibby averaged 14.7 points, 7.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 37.9 minutes per game while shooting .445/.350/.766.

Never an All-Star, Bibby was a steady player at the point for more than a decade, helping the Kings to the Western Conference Finals in 2002.

In February 2008, he was dealt to the Atlanta Hawks.

He was traded again at the February deadline in 2011, this time to the Washington Wizards, who waived him five days after the trade.

Two days after that, he signed with the Miami Heat, starting all 20 games in the playoffs as the Heat lost in the NBA Finals.

He signed with the New York Knicks as a free agent after the lockout ended in December 2011, but was limited to 39 games by back and foot injuries.

Unsigned as a free agent in the summer of 2012, Bibby eventually retired. He is 25th in NBA history with 1,517 three-pointers and 45th with 5,517 assists.
