4. Washington Wizards

With Marcin Gortat growing older (age 32) and no other top offensive big men, the Wizards need some youth on the front line. Plus with only Markieff Morris and Andrew Nicholson as the team’s power forwards, Washington could use a bigger power forward as well.

They got a defensive presence in Ian Mahinmi but they could use some offense in the post other than Gortat and Morris.

That is where Okafor steps in. He averaged 17.5 points per game, more than any other big man on the Wizards’ current roster. Along with the combination of John Wall and newly signed Bradley Beal, Okafor could form a good pick and roll combo with the duo.

He can also provide a solid presence in the post.

The trouble with this trade is that the Wizards already have three centers on their roster. Adding Okafor could potentially be a fourth big man. With Philly likely wanting a wing in return, maybe the Wizards could throw in a big man to sweeten the deal.

Or maybe they could work a three-team trade that sends a Wizards big man somewhere else. Given the roster space, this trade seems highly unlikely to go down but in terms of fit on the court, it would work.
