Paul’s ability to hold together his team is not a want, but a need

While Curry gave excitement to this season with his electrifying play style, Chris Paul still showed the league he is the best floor general on the hardwood. Paul was fourth in assists per game (10) and led the way in assist to turnover ratio (3.80). Paul also thrived in a stat that is usually reserved for big man. He ranked 10th in double-doubles (38) this season.

He effortlessly passes the ball to his teammates to not only bear the burden of carrying them but to instill confidence in them to get the job done as well.

Even with his amazing stats, Paul also had to burden the load of scoring for more the team while Griffin healed from his quad injury during the season. This could also sway some MVP votes in his favor. Paul is also never one to back down from a challenge, especially at the point guard position. Paul averaged 24 points and 7.8 assists against the Warriors this season.
