Curry’s presence on the team is almost magical

Stephen Curry has dominated the league almost in a way that seems “Jordan-esque.” Many misjudge his ability to cover flaws that Golden State has. Although they won a record 73 games, it didn’t come without some struggles on the court. The Warriors were among the league leaders in turnovers during the regular season (15.2 per game), according to NBA.com.

However, Curry made up for those mistakes by being able to seemingly take the team on a scoring run all by himself. Curry ranked third in three-point field goal percentage (.454%). He lapped the league in three pointers made (5.1 per game). The only person close to catching him was his splash brother Klay Thompson (3.5).

Curry also managed to shatter his own record of most three-pointers made in a season (402). To say he is an asset to his team wouldn’t do him justice. To put a stamp on his legendary regular season, Curry more than likely to win his second NBA MVP trophy. This would make him the first player since player to win back to back MVP’s since LeBron James in 2012-13.
