3. Iman Shumpert

Iman Shumpert’s height is listed as 6’5″, but if you include his hair, he’s got to be like 7’8″. That’s what happens when your hairstyle is inspired by a skyscraper.

As the real-life NBA version of Gerald from Hey Arnold!, Shumpert’s majestic flat-top is a higher riser than the Cavaliers shooting guard could ever hope to be…even with hops like this:

Seriously, look at his hair. It’s incredible. It’s one solid block, without a single individual hair out of place. It’s like the top of a Roman helmet, only bigger, and without the helmet. It inspires awe to think that mankind is capable of achieving such extraordinary things.

Shumpert’s return helped elevate Cleveland’s defense into the top 10 for points allowed per 100 possessions, but at what point will that hair become a distraction? If it gets any taller it might pull a Leaning Tower of Pisa and flop around in front of his face every time he makes a move.

Gerald from Hey Arnold! is part of the reason I chose the No. 33 when I started playing basketball, so it’s really special that the NBA now has a life-sized version of that beloved character suiting up for the Cavs every night.
