Top Four SGs

  1. DeMar DeRozan (Raptors) – $8,100 @ Nets
  2. Andrew Wiggins (Timberwolves) – $6,400 vs. Nuggets
  3. Victor Oladipo (Magic) – $5,800 vs. Pacers
  4. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Pistons) – $5,400 @ Celtics

Rationale:

  • DeRozan is in a bit of a slump, averaging 29.7 FPPG in his last three games. That’s 6.4 FPPG lower than his 36.1 FPPG season average. However, he has a favorable matchup against the Nets, who are 23rd against shooting guards this season, and should bounce back.
  • Wiggins is averaging 27.0 FPPG in three games against the Nuggets this season. While he is most dependent on his scoring, he has shot 46.8 percent against Denver this season. The Nuggets are fourth-worst defensively against shooting guards this season.
  • Oladipo has played better over his last four games, averaging 27.4 FPPG. Playing closer to the way he has all season is a good sign for fantasy owners and the Magic. He scored 31.3 fantasy points in his previous meeting with the Pacers, who rank 20th against shooting guards this season.
  • KCP provides the best value, despite the Celtics ranking fourth against shooting guards. He is averaging 28.3 FPPG in the team’s two meetings. He is a better shooter on the road by 2.5 percent. He scored 31 points in the first game of the season series this season and should find success again against the Celtics.
