For years, the Washington Wizards were disregarded in the Eastern Conference. There roster had some decent players, but trouble was never too far behind them. Then the team drafted John Wall in 2010 and things slowly began to change. Which brings us to today, with Wall a two-time All-Star, and a bevy of supporting players around him who actually contribute.

After heading to the second round of the playoffs last season, the addition of veteran Paul Pierce was supposed to bring this team back to that same stage, and potentially further. The Wizards have wobbled throughout the season though, and with only a few games remaining don’t have home-court advantage in round one, as they sit fifth in the East.

Luckily for them though, they’ve hit form at the right time, and are in a good way heading into the playoffs. They won’t be an easy out for anybody, and will believe they can surprise a few people by going on another long run.
