The Best: Rajon Rondo

A broken hand doesn’t fracture talent. Rajon Rondo is still top dog for the Boston Celtics; however, it will be a surprise to all if he’s still in a Celtics uniform after this season’s trade deadline.

It’s likely that after a torn ACL and broken hand, Rondo might be feeling his tender age of 28. He’s by far the most talented player on head coach Brad Stevens roster, having averaged 11.1 points and 9.8 assists in a career-low 30 games played.

In the 2012-13 season Rondo led all guards in assists (11.1), and was the only remnant of the big three championship days the Celtics long to get back to. It’s likely that when they get back to that lost level of prestige, Rondo will no longer be on the roster.
