Trevor Ariza:

Trevor Ariza is one of the sneaky good free agents on the market. Though he is an unrestricted free agent, the most likely possibility is the Washington Wizards overpay him this summer to keep him around, but you just never know what’s going to happen in free agency sometimes and teams are certainly going to try and pry him away. The Los Angeles Clippers are one team interested in upgrading at the small forward position and Ariza’s defense and perimeter touch would fit in quite nicely:

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reported that Ariza is also drawing interest from the Cleveland Cavaliers and that the Wizards plan on meeting with their unrestricted free agent this morning:

It didn’t take long for the list of potential Ariza suitors to grow exponentially:

Ariza would fit in nicely beside Dwyane Wade and LeBron James in Miami. The Minnesota Timberwolves could use a helpful veteran like Ariza in what will likely become a rebuilding process. The Utah Jazz having an interest in Ariza is, well, interesting since they will try to lock Gordon Hayward down. The Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Orlando Magic are all wise to try and upgrade their roster with a guy like Ariza as well. The Los Angeles Clippers also have an interest in Ariza and made some calls last night:

It turns out Stan Van Gundy’s tenure with the Detroit Pistons certainly won’t be a quiet one either.

Since the Los Angeles Lakers need an upgrade at just about every position, Ariza is a good target for them:

The Cleveland Cavaliers could also use a wing piece to help bide their time with Andrew Wiggins:

So to recap, here’s a list of teams that are reportedly interested in getting their hands on Trevor Ariza in free agency:

And here’s a list of teams that apparently reached out to him last night:

The Phoenix Suns are an interesting addition to this suddenly blistering race for Trevor Ariza, especially after making P.J. Tucker a restricted free agent by extending him a qualifying offer. And once again, Dallas is pretty much after everyone:
