Muscala prides himself on being a good shooter, even if it wasn’t always on display this year. Muscala shot 42.5 percent for the season from the field, while failing to make any of his 3-point attempts. This doesn’t mean that Muscala doesn’t have potential as a shooter though.

Muscala has a nice, fluid high arching shooting stroke, and his low percentage might be down to his shot selection as much as anything else. Muscala struggles from the left hand side of the floor, shooting less than 33 percent from there, yet he only took two field goal attempts more on the right hand side from where he averages better than 50 percent.

Muscala’s shot selection might need to improve, but his free throw shooting indicates that there’s potential in his stroke. For his 20 games as a Hawk, Muscala attempted 14 free throws, and made every one of them.
