Another year, another season of the San Antonio Spurs coming good at the right time. It’s been like this forever, or so it seems. The Spurs start slow, get written off by most, only to round into form around their annual rodeo road trip and head into the playoffs as the team nobody wants to face.

This season was no different, although even I made the cardinal sin of thinking this team’s amazing run was over after an especially poor start to the year.

Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker missed much time through injury, but both are back now to help this team go deep again. Parker looks back to his best, while Leonard could win the Defensive Player of the Year award yet. Tim Duncan is Tim Duncan, and no other head coach can get as much out of role players as Gregg Popovich. Here we go again.
