13. Gary Trent Jr. - San Antonio Spurs

Victor Wembanyama dazzled with the San Antonio Spurs in his rookie season, showing that he's well on his way to making the leap to superstardom. As he braces for his sophomore season, the Spurs must improve the roster around him to accelerate their rebuild, and one player who should be on their radar is Toronto Raptors wing Gary Trent Jr.

To understand why Trent would be a quality fit, the Spurs should look at what the Milwaukee Bucks have done over the years. They've surrounded Giannis Antetokounmpo with perimeter shooting to help space the floor better for the big man, adding players like Kyle Korver and Grayson Allen. The Spurs could follow a similar blueprint with Wembanyama by bringing in Trent.

For his career, Trent has shot 38.6 percent from deep on 6.4 attempts per game, making him one of the more eye-catching shooters in this free-agent class. On top of that, he's a pesky defender when taking on other wings, adding to his desirability. The Spurs could offer him an opportunity and a solid bit of cash to come down to Texas.

It might go against the grain for the Spurs to go out and make splashy free agent signings rather than taking the slow route and developing talent, but they need to improve this roster to contend in the near future and maximize Wembanyama's rapid rise to superstardom.
