6) Mikal Bridges

Although the Brooklyn Nets are well below . 500, they have not entertained the possibility of trading star Mikal Bridges at the trade deadline. Bridges is clearly the best player on the Nets and they appear dead set about retooling around their two-way star. That will be easier said than done, especially since Bridges is already 27 years old, meaning that the Nets would have to do so quickly to maximize his prime.

Still, other teams are likely to at least check on the availability of Bridges and whether the Nets would be open to trading him under the right circumstances. Very few players in the NBA are completely untouchable and if a team wanted him badly enough, the Nets could potentially be swayed, though it could take at least four first-round picks and a good young player to do so.

That is a prohibitive cost that very few teams could manage and the ones that could probably aren't in a position to win now. Thus, the possibility that a team will acquire Bridges at the trade deadline appears farfetched at best. Instead, the Nets could look to move several of their other players in deals to build around Bridges going forward, though that won't net them nearly as many assets as they could get for Bridges.
