I was born in MN and raised in the '90s-'00s, so I celebrated the magic of MJ's prime and mourned the waste of KG's. I moved to WI, but I left before Giannis and no one there cared about Andrew Bogut. Then I moved to OR and watched the triumphant rise of Dame. Finally, I moved to IA. When the wind is right, I can hear Timberwolves fans' naive optimism each fall. As sure as the winter storms floating in from the west, I can count on a familiar disappointment setting in each year by the All-Star Break...But at least they bring back the pine tree trim jerseys every now and then.
