Jalen Green will lead the Houston Rockets in points.

An obvious place to start, given that Green averaged 17.3 points as a rookie last season. Green only turned 20 in February, and already looks destined to become one of the best scorers in the entire league. He averaged just shy of 32 minutes per contest last year, and it will be no surprise if that number increases this coming year.

Also helping Green’s cause is the fact that the leader in this category last time out (Christian Wood, 17.9 points per game) is no longer on the roster. This means the ball will be in the hands of Green early and often, and he will be tasked with creating and bailing his side out of poor possessions late in the shot clock. Given his ability, some of these shots will go in.

With a young and willing point guard like Washington and an excellent passer in Sengun on the roster, multiple teammates will be looking for Green often. He shot just over 34 percent from deep last season, which is not a great number but he did take nearly seven 3-pointers per contest. Unsurprisingly, this was the most attempts out of anybody in the rotation.

This means he has the green (sorry…) light to take as many shots from deep as he wants. So with the offense flowing through him, his teammates relying on him to create opportunities and being allowed to shoot often and from seemingly anywhere, this one is a no-brainer.

The Rockets are in a position at the moment where it is more about keeping fans entertained while they continue to lose more than they win and while building out their roster. Green is the ideal player to get fans into the arena, create highlight plays that get people talking and score a lot of points in the process.
