3 NBA teams New Mexico State star Teddy Allen would thrive on: Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic struggle to score the basketball, as most young teams do. And with how many guards they already have on the roster, adding a wing that can get buckets might be a good idea.

While they’re definitely in a position to take a chance on some potential-filled young players in the draft, grabbing Allen on a Summer League or two-way contract.

As of now, the best young wings Orlando has on the roster are Franz Wagner, Chuma Okeke, Ignas Brazdeikis, and Admiral Schofield. While Wagner looks like a future star, the latter three are all iffy at best.

Okeke is great, but he’s down the majority of his potential on the defensive end. Allen would give them a bonafide bucket to bring off the bench who they could take a chance on.

They can’t always be depending on Cole Anthony and Wendell Carter Jr. to score for them. While Allen’s elite mid-range game and ability to get his team a bucket at any given moment could be just what the Magic need at times.

Plus, his super-aggressive, super-confident mindset would fit in perfectly with what the Magic are building. Allen just seems like he’d get along well with the group they have in Orlando.
