NBA Trades: 3 panic trades for the New York Knicks to avoid – Jalen Brunson

Jalen Brunson is an exceptional point guard and any team would be lucky to have him, including the New York Knicks. He is quietly having a breakout season, averaging 15.9 points and 5.5 assists per game.

So what exactly justifies his presence on this list? The answer is clear and simple – his price.

It seems that the Dallas Mavericks have absolutely no intentions of moving Jalen Brunson in the coming days unless a ridiculous offer comes their way.

Yes, the New York Knicks have a wide variety of veterans, young players, and draft picks that they could offer to any team and try to secure a deal. But is Jalen Brunson worth all that? Is he the player that will take this team to the next level? Absolutely not.

If his asking price was within the range suitable for his performances and productivity, one could argue that Brunson would be the go-to target for the Knicks, as other potential targets like Dejounte Murray and De’Aaron Fox could end up costing too much. But that’s just not the case.
