The Charlotte Hornets have been playing pretty well this season behind their young core. LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges have been great (although both were left off the 2022 NBA All-Star Game rosters).

They currently sit at 28-24 on the season, which puts them at eighth place in the Eastern Conference. They have a shot to make some noise in the playoffs this year.

That being said, for such a young team, they have a bunch of older players on big contracts, with the main one being a 31-year-old Gordon Hayward.

He’s been solid this year, but are there any NBA trades out there that would make them younger and also help them improve? Here are three NBA trades that would ship Gordon Hayward off elsewhere.

NBA Trades: 3 Gordon Hayward trades for the Hornets to consider: Indiana Pacers

Pacers receive: Gordon Hayward, 2023 First-Round Pick (Lottery Protected)

Hornets receive: Myles Turner, Jeremy Lamb

This is the type of trade that has been discussed for years at this point. The Charlotte Hornets would get a bit younger and fill a need, while the Indiana Pacers would reshape their roster.

Indiana has consistently stated that they want to remain competitive. This trade would help them do that while also reshaping what their roster looks like.

Meanwhile, the Hornets would get a long-term answer at the center position and bring back an old friend in Jeremy Lamb to help them on the wing.

There’s a chance that the Pacers want more, but considering Myles Turner’s injury, this could get it done. Overall, this trade accomplishes a goal for both sides.
