NBA Trades: 3 Gordon Hayward trades for the Hornets to consider: Washington Wizards

Wizards receive: Gordon Hayward

Hornets receive: Thomas Bryant, Corey Kispert, Davis Bertans, 2027 Second-Round Pick

This trade would help both sides move in various directions. The Washington Wizards would add a proven talent, while the Charlotte Hornets would gamble on an answer at the center position.

Rumors of Bradley Beal not signing an extension should be concerning. If the Wizards want to keep him around, they need to put the best possible team around him.

Adding a former All-Star like Gordon Hayward would certainly be a solid way to do that. He’s a versatile scorer, a solid defender, and someone who could take the pressure off Beal from behind the perimeter with efficient shooting.

Charlotte would be getting two solid pieces and a salary-filler in this deal. Obviously, Davis Bertans would be the salary-filler, but they could try to dump his contract next season if he continues to regress.

Thomas Bryant is the key piece here. He showed flashes of real promise before getting injured and plays with the intensity that Charlotte should strive to have.

With Washington being loaded at the center position, they would probably be willing to move him. Bryant could slot in at the five and bring a spark to the Hornets.

As for Corey Kispert, he’s just a rookie and was touted for his defense coming out of the draft. If he can get a chance to shine in Charlotte, he would be a solid piece for the wing. This is just a solid trade overall for both sides.
