NBA Trades: One Ben Simmons trade for every NBA team – New Orleans Pelicans

This one may be among the spiciest on the list, but should be explored by both teams. Years ago, the two top picks in the 2016 NBA Draft were debated to the point of delirium. Seeing them traded for each other five years later would be a fascinating wrinkle in their history, but it may just be what both teams and players need.

Simmons would go back to the market where he played in college (not sure that is a good thing), and would play with a generational big man (diet pending) in an attempt to save the job of David Griffin.

For the Sixers, Ingram has already shown that he can play with a dominant big man and be one of the more dangerous scorers in the league. Since joining the New Orleans Pelicans, Ingram has posted a line of 23.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game on shooting splits of .461/.389/.861.

He was a stellar defender with the Lakers and could find that again when placed in a winning situation. Ingram would slide into Philadelphia’s lineup seamlessly and would explode as a secondary scoring threat. Do not be distracted by the “hot take” nature of this trade on its face. This may be the best that each team could do for their future ahead.
