NBA Trades: One Ben Simmons trade for every NBA team – Minnesota Timberwolves

One of the NBA trades that should have happened months ago, the Minnesota Timberwolves are exactly the kind of team that should be blowing up the Sixers phone. As a franchise that has seen little to no success for the better part of two decades, adding a star to the core of Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns would be a sign of good faith that they truly mean to compete.

Simmons has a noted friendship with Towns, which was the driving factor to the team making the move to add D’Angelo Russell in the past. Now that Towns has been caught liking posts about him getting traded (unless you believe the “I got hacked” excuse), there is no time like the present to take the next step.

Patrick Beverley has been traded so much in the last year his realtor must be number one on his speed dial, but his salary fits perfectly into this deal. Malik Beasley has struggled this season as his role has diminished, but he was a scoring force the past two seasons. He would have a chance to find that again in Philadelphia. A potential star in hiding for the team to claim. Jaden McDaniels is still something of a project, but if he is developed correctly, this trade would be a home run for both teams.
