NBA trades to help the Los Angeles Lakers: Mike Muscala & Isaiah Roby

Lakers receive: Mike Muscala, Isaiah Roby

Thunder receive: Kent Bazemore, DeAndre Jordan, 2026 First-Round Pick, 2027 Second-Round pick, 2028 Second-Round Pick

This trade is somewhat similar to the Mo Wagner one in the sense that the Lakers would be getting a center who can stretch the floor for them. Mike Muscala would play that role to a tee.

So far this season, he’s averaging 9.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting 47.8 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from three-point range.

While Muscala may not be the first name that comes up when thinking about quality centers in the NBA, he’s certainly getting the job done. LA could use someone to help them space the floor at the five.

Meanwhile, Isaiah Roby would be a versatile young defender to throw out there. He’s not the best three-point shooter, but the Lakers need some help on the defensive end, too.

Roby is only getting around 10.5 minutes per game this year in OKC, and he’s only appeared in eight of their 16 games. If given the right offer, they may be willing to give him up.

If that offer consisted of a first and two seconds, OKC could pounce on the opportunity. LA would be giving up Kent Bazemore and DeAndre Jordan, too, neither of whom have contributed too much this season.

Bazemore is having a horrendous year shooting-wise, and Jordan barely earns playing time anymore. Losing that many picks won’t hurt LA, either, as they’re trying to win right now.
