The Indiana Pacers have been at a stalemate for years now. Ever since they were “so close” to eliminating LeBron James and the Cavaliers in the first round a few years back, they seem to have been happy with just being average.

YouTube star, Through the Wire podcast host, and NBA expert Kenny Beecham (commonly known as KOT4Q) recently ranted about the Pacers in one of his second-channel videos where he recaps the latest NBA action.

“It is so wild that they’re okay with just rolling the balls out with this team,” said Beecham. “And I think the best thing that can happen to them, as a fan of the NBA, and wanting their fans to be happy, is that they miss the playoffs completely.”

NBA trades to help the Indiana Pacers kickstart a much-needed rebuild

Indiana has made the playoffs in five of the last six seasons, with last year being the only year they missed out. However, in each of those five appearances, they got knocked out in the first round.

The Pacers have become fine with being mediocre, and fans should not be happy about that. This team is very talented, but it is nowhere near good enough to bring home an NBA championship.

A slew of Indiana Pacers fans commented on Beecham’s video, agreeing with his points. Each and every one of them said something to the effect of, “ I agree, this team needs to just go for a top-five pick.”

So, that’s the goal of today’s piece. Instead of trying to find trades to help the Pacers remain mediocre, these trades are to help jumpstart their rebuild and add young pieces.

What are some trades the Indiana Pacers could get done to hit the reset button? What young pieces and picks could they get in return?

(P.s. If you’re reading this, Kenny, I was tempted to write up a trade for Coby White in here, but I left the Bulls alone… and the money didn’t work out. Big fan, by the way.)
