Los Angeles Lakers statistical leaders – 3-point percentage: Wayne Ellington
Predicted percentage: 43.5

Over his 12 year career, Wayne Ellington has shot the 3-ball at 38.2 percent for the nine different teams that he has played for. The fact that he has played in so many different offensive styles and still shot the ball so well is a testament to his perimeter shooting. With so many players whose games only go as far as the mid-range, Ellington is going to have more space to shoot.

Los Angeles Lakers statistical leaders – 2-point percentage: Dwight Howard
Predicted percentage: 68.7

Last time around in Los Angeles, Howard shot the ball at an incredible 72.9 percent from the floor, even though it was only on 4.0 attempts per game. The team has changed quite considerably since then but Howard will go back to the role that he had during the 2020 championship run. Being a bit older and given the change in personnel, Howard’s percentage will drop a little.

Los Angeles Lakers statistical leaders – Free throw percentage: Kendrick Nunn
Predicted percentage: 91.8

Last season with the Miami Heat, Kendrick Nunn was incredible from the line. He got to the charity stripe 1.1 times a game and hit 93.3 percent of them. In his rookie season, Nunn was an  85.0 percent free-throw shooter so last season was natural progression was not an aberration. The Lakers were not a good free-throw shooting team last season meaning that only the newly acquired Malik Monk will come close.
