LA Clippers’ free agency signing No. 2: Reggie Jackson

The former Detroit Pistons starting point guard credits the Clippers for saving his career but it feels more like a joining of two forces. The Clippers needed Reggie Jackson as much as he needed them and the two parties have blossomed together.

Part of the reason for this is that Jackson no longer has the pressure of being the main creator on the team. He is a highly talented guard but with George and Leonard on the floor at any time, Jackson can just play his role with great effectiveness.

Now that the Clippers have moved on from Patrick Beverley and Rajon Rondo, it could be assumed that Jackson is going to take on a much greater role with the team. Again, with no knowledge of when Leonard will return, the Clippers are going to need to get prime Jackson.

He has developed good chemistry with his teammates over the past season and a half. If he can keep shooting the long ball with the same efficiency that he has been with the Clippers to this point then he will be a tremendous floor spacing, playmaking key piece for the franchise. All he has to do is stay healthy.
