If they play up to their potential, the Chicago Bulls will make the NBA playoffs in 2022.

Last year, the Bulls flirted with a playoff spot the entire season. Through win streaks and setbacks, it looked as if the worst the team could do was qualify for the play-in tournament. However, a dismal stretch in which the team lost 11 out of 14 contests between March 22nd and April 16th, sealed their fate and sent them back to the lottery.

This past offseason, the team made a couple of nice upgrades to the roster by adding veteran guards Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan. Those two playmakers, combined with All-Stars Zach LaVine and Nikola Vučević, give the Bulls a solid core that is more than capable of propelling the team into the post-season.

The Chicago Bulls made some great additions to the roster this offseason. Next year it will pay off with an NBA playoff appearance.

However, teams must be careful not to rely solely on talent. If Chicago were to fail to qualify for the postseason, they wouldn’t be the first team in league history to underperform and find themselves on the outside looking in. In coach Billy Donovan, the Bulls have the right man at the helm to guide them to their destiny. Let’s take a closer look at the points of execution the team must focus on to make their goal of reaching the playoffs a reality.
