The Chicago Bulls have been building towards this season for a very long time. It started when they traded for their franchise cornerstone Zach LaVine and they have continued to chip away at needs since then.

Last summer the Bulls signed ex OKC Thunder head coach Billy Donovan and he has been working hard on their playing group. He took the pain of starting rookie Patrick Williams all last season in an effort to fast-track the development of the youngster.

They made a good trade last season to secure the services of Nikola Vucevic. It was then you knew that the Bulls were serious. They wanted the rebuild to speed up so they could get back to the playoffs sooner. This offseason they made a number of really good signings to, hopefully, complete that process.

Chicago Bulls free agency signing No. 1: Javonte Green.

Coming over as part of the Daniel Theis trade, Javonte Green is the piece that the Bulls decided to keep around. A to-year veteran, Green came into the league late, and at the age of 28, he is making the most of his time, signing a two-year minimum salary deal.

Green is a solid combo guard who only played 8.0 minutes per game last season for the Bulls in 16 appearances. He is a deep bench player but he showed with the Bulls last season that he was efficient in the times that he made the floor. He hit 37.5 percent from beyond the long line which he can use as leverage to get more court time.
